Summer of Scandal
Drugs in the fast lane
The singer, 38, was arrested in Miami Beach on Aug. 31 for speeding in broad daylight. As authorities inspected his car, they found "a white powder in a clear plastic bag." Once analyzed, the substance turned out to be cocaine. Montero admitted that it was his. A guilty verdict in Florida for cocaine possession could mean losing his rights to travel in and out of the United States.
The scandalous video
On June 19, the Internet became the worst enemy of the Puerto Rican singer, 29. A racy sex video, in which she's shown having sexual relations with an ex-boyfriend, showed up all over computer screens, thus putting her under the microscope. Over the next few weeks, the scandal erupted even more when she accused her stepfather of distributing the material. Her maternal grandmother also revealed that Noelia had supposedly been sexually and physically abused by her previous stepparents.
Divorce, reconciliation and lies
On Aug. 27 we dropped the bomb: Cristian Castro, 32, revealed that he was moving to Mexico alone and leaving his daughter and pregnant wife, lawyer Valeria Liberman, also 32, in Miami...But this isn't the scandal. The following morning, Castro denied these statements. That same afternoon, the press obtained a copy of the divorce suit he'd filed. Then, the next day, Castro admitted to the matrimonial crisis, but said he'd withdrawn the divorce suit and had at first denied it because he will always lie to the press when it comes to his personal life.
Noelia's scandal exploded even more when her mother, the legendary Yolandita Monge, 52, went to the program Don Francisco presenta (Univisión) on Aug. 15 with her whole family in order to confront her daughter's accusations against her: among these, that she and her husband, Topy Mamery, took Noelia to swinger parties; that Mamery had distributed the video; and Monge said her daughter "was not well" and had made up everything.
After July 26 rumors of supposed rehabilitation, which indicated reasons of psychological exhaustion, the singer, 38, got an order from a judge to present himself at court before the two employees he had accused of extortion and petty theft. The trial has been pushed back five times.

A revealing flash
Following the example of Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, photos appeared on Aug. 12 of the singer, 50, lying in the sand outside of Paris Hilton's Malibu, CA, house. In the pics, the also actress is seen without underwear, apparently having no problem with showing her private parts to the paparazzi.
A pricey word
For six years, the ex-Garibaldi hosted the program Cotorreando (Telemundo) with Mauricio Zeilic. But on June 21, the Mexican, 36, used the word "cherna" to refer to a gay person and was immediately fired. For what? "Cherna" is a derogatory term in the gay and lesbian community in some Caribbean countries. In her native Mexico, it's a type of fish. "We decided to end our relationship with her because she was hosting in a manner inconsistent with our company's platform, including our respect for diversity," the network explained.
