After more than ten years since her death, no one will forget the tragedy that transpired on March 31st, 1995 when the young Tex-Mex singer was shot and killed at a motel in Corpus Christi.Â The life of the 23 year old icon was taken by Yolanda Saldívar, president of her fan club.
In May of 2009, photographs of Father Alberto Cutié romancing one Ruhama Canellis were leaked to the public, bringing his secret relationship to the surface.Â Members of the church quickly responded with anger and dissatisfaction making it top headlines in the country.Â In the end, it led to his dismissal from the Catholic Church and eventually married Canellis a month later.
ANNA NICOLE SMITH
Months before her own death, Smith dealt with the loss of her 20 year old son Daniel Smith who died from an overdose of prescription drugs.Â Following suit, the once superstar model was then found dead in a Florida hotel also from an overdose.Â A long custody battled then ensued between Howard K. Stern, her boyfriend at the time, and Larry Birkhead, ex boyfriend and biological father of her young daughter Dannielynn.
At the height of her career, the Mexican singer was accused of abusing a minor alongside her ex boyfriend and producer Sergio Andrade back in 1997.Â Then in 2000, authorities had caught up with her in Brazil in which she was eventually released in 2004 after being declared innocent.Â However the most puzzling part of this scandal was the disappearance of her newly born daughter Ana Dalai.
In August of 2003, an ex bodyguard of the Mexican singer and actress attacked and then threatened reporters with a gun as they tried to get an interview with her during the performances of the musical, Regina in Mexico City.Â A few days after the incident, the singer defended him by saying they were trying to take the gun from him and if he had not responded the way he did, it could have ended in tragedy.
What started as an innocent love story in April of 2008 ended with disaster in August later that year when the former television host made a frantic call to police after her husband, Ulysses Alonso physically abused her as well as threatening to kill her.Â The marriage of the two presented them with issues they could not ignore such as the large age difference, the rejection from both families and the shadow of former flame, Luis Miguel which Dellanos could not escape.Â Eventually, in March of this year they divorced and the soap opera was over.
CARMEN DOMINICCI AND FERNANDO DEL RINCÓN
Once considered the most envied couple on television, the former hosts of the show Primer Impacto aired out their dirty laundry less than a year after getting married in Puerto Rico.Â During a vacation in the Dominican Republic, Del Rincón bruised up his wife in a hotel as everyone listened in on the shouts and noise coming from their room.Â On return to Miami, the couple split and even loss their jobs finally ending with divorce in November of 2008.
The former beauty queen ignored the cameras for once during a stint on the Spanish reality show, La Granja VIP.Â In 2005, Machado and television host Fernando Acaso put on a very red hot performance in the bedroom which went public the very next day, leading to her split with then fiancée and professional baseball player Bobby Abreu.
BRAD PITT AND ANGELINA JOLIE
Everyone was shocked when Pitt called it quits with Jennifer Aniston back in 2005.Â Hollywood's most admired couple came to end when he fell for Angelina Jolie during the filming of their movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
In 1997 the famous director took everyone by surprise when he married Soon Yi Previn, adopted daughter of the actress Mia Farrow, his ex wife of ten years.Â The relationship was discovered by Farrow herself after she found scandalous pictures of her daughter taken by Allen himself.Â Now at 74 years old, Woody and Previn, who is just 39, are still together today.
In late August of 1976 the director's second wife, actress Sharon Tate, was brutally murdered in her home while eight months pregnant.Â The killer Charles Manson and his accomplices were found guilty of the murder of Tate and two other individuals who were with her at her Los Angeles home that night.￼
Just hours before her scheduled performance at the GRAMMY Awards, the singer and now ex boyfriend, Chris Brown brawled in plain sight on a street in Los Angeles, CA.Â According to reports, he hit her on the face, grabbed her by the throat and even attempted to strangle her.Â She hid from the cameras following the incident after being left with two lumps on her forehead, a black eye, busted lip and not to mention the media frenzy that came after.
The murder of the former Mexican television host at a restaurant in Mexico City proposed a lot speculation that he may have been linked to drug trafficking in the country.Â Weeks after the crime, Mario Bezares and Paola Durante, colleagues from his morning show Una tras otra, were charged with conspiring his murder.Â Shortly after, they were freed after a man testified being tortured into charging the innocent individuals.Â To this day, the case remains unsolved.
The innocence of the young Puerto Rican singer was lost in June of 2007 when images of her having sex with boyfriend and also singer Yamil began circulating the internet.Â The couple accused her stepfather Topy Mamery, for starting the media bomb that made entertainment headlines. Â All this while the distraught singer dealt with issues concerning her mother Yolandita Monge, who she accuses of abusing her psychologically.
In 2005, after many hours in the courts the pop singer was declared innocent on all charges of sexual child abuse.Â Thousands of fans remained faithful to the music legend after taking such severe scrutiny throughout the scandal.Â His death in June earlier this year shook the world and is still under investigation.
