Rumor-spreading Shaki fans thought she was about to tie the knot with longtime boyfriend Antonio de Rúa. They were wrong! When the singer hit the books at UCLA to study Western Civilization under a prestigious prof, her followers were shocked.

The new student was spotted all over Los Angeles partying with buddy Penélope Cruz (right). And while Shaki was hanging with the popular crowd, her fans were beginning to wonder where her boyfriend was...

The "Hips Don't Lie" singer and friends got back to the nightlife, here on their way to dine at Koi Restaurant in the posh California town.

The Colombian somehow managed to squeeze in some globetrotting this fall. She looked super-stylish at the Toronto airport while on her way out of the Canadian city.

That same day, the songstress united with former President Bill Clinton at the Clinton Global Initiative event, where she announced that the ALAS (América Latina en Acción Solidaria) foundation would donate $40 million to aid earthquake victims in Peru.

She hit the stage with (from left to right) Chris Rock, Bono and Wyclef Jean at the at the Giving, Live at the Apollo forum, organized by Clinton to discuss the role of young people in global affairs.

The Colombian star definitely had something to smile about while performing at the New York event: She can juggle a schedule of studying, hanging with out friends, promoting good causes...and she can play the guitar!
