Kika Rocha says: I tense up at the sight of her enviable figure, which always steals the show… not with disheveled rastafari dreads reminiscent of Bob Marley.
Yoselín Acevedo says: Good thing Rihanna decided not to keep this look and cut the dreadlocks off after this appearance. They were horrific!
Kika Rocha says: Black hair and carmine red lip color a la Snow White works better for the Disney princess than it does the pop diva. The dark tones in hair can harden facial features and reduces shine in the overall look.
Yoselín Acevedo says: Maybe it’s just me, but the hair extensions here look a lot like a misplaced wig. Besides, the long blackhair just doesn’t go well as it takes away from her beautiful face.
Kika Rocha says: I love this look! Its fresh, youthful, and appropriate for both her age and the place. This is Rihanna in her best moment, displaying the true beauty that goes skin deep. She should try this style more often.
Yoselín Acevedo says: This look is without a doubt the best Rihanna had after going through the hair extensions stage. It’s both modern and sexy but doesn’t go over the top. In fact, I’m dying to copy this look!
BLONDE AND WAVY
Kika Rocha says: It’s hard to believe that Rihanna has been months without paying a visit to her hair colorist. This hairstyle takes away from her classiness as well as the sophistication of a dress like this one by Armani, which the diva co-designed by taking inspiration from the classic piece worn in the film Scarface.
Yoselín Acevedo says: I understand and admire her edgy and vanguard approach, but I can’t comprehend why she would go blonde. It almost looks as if she dropped peroxide in her hair and didn’t know what to do with it.
Kika Rocha says: Luckily for her, the cute doll face saved her from this hair salon disaster. The exaggerated and artificial red tone which, combined with the “gentleman” cut, adds years to her age.
Yoselín Acevedo says: Very old-fashioned. And it doesn’t go well at all with Rihanna’s modern style. Let’s not even mention the overly bright choice of color… this look reminds me of Strawberry Shortcake.
BURGUNDY SOFT CURLS
Kika Rocha says: Another great call by the singer! The rich mahogany color brings out her spectacular green eyes and caramel skin tone. I love the sensual curls and the perfect amount of volume! The shoulder length hair is ideal for her age.
Yoselín Acevedo says: The burgundy dye and defined curls alike fit like a ring on a finger. It’s both delicate and relaxed all while still maintaining an elegant look. I give it a score of 10!
TOUSLED RED CURLS
Kika Rocha says: Where is Rihanna? Her face is lost amid the thicket of this exaggerated afro. The color red just isn’t ideal for her skin complexion, making her appear pale and almost sickly.
Yoselín Acevedo says: Dear God, what happened to Rihanna!? Her stylist sure did a number on this hairstyle. Was she thinking Medusa?
BICOLOR ASYMMETRICAL HAIR
Kika Rocha says: I like Rihanna with short hair. A modern alternative with dramatic shimmer that contrasts beautifully betweenblonde and black is a style I would only recommend to a handful of people. This look is reserved for the outspoken woman.
Yoselín Acevedo says: Although I love the unbalanced cut, which is both modern and edgy, I’m not a big fan of the dark bangs that cover part of her face. I find it forced and poorly defined.
BLACK ASYMMETRICAL HAIR
Kika Rocha says: Black… a bit too gloomy even for the grunge style cut. It is too restrained of a look for such a young woman who should be looking for shine instead of shade.
Yoselín Acevedo says: This is the Rihanna that stole the hearts of trendy girls everywhere! It was her that made the uneven cut popular once more. I love the cut, although I’d prefer a lighter hair color instead.
LONG STRAIGHT HAIR
Kika Rocha says: With this head of Barbie doll hair, there is no star bright enough that could help conceal her from this disastrous style of choice. The false look is too straight and excessively long for her face type. I don’t like the color or texture at all… it is the worst look of them all!
Yoselín Acevedo says: Where do I start? The color, the terrible quality of her extensions, the excessive length or open ends? Somebody put her stylist on timeout!
