Our Summer Movie Guide

Popular actor Johnny Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow in the third installment of "Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End." This time, our heroes become allies of Captain Barbossa in a desperate attempt to free Captain Sparrow from Davy Jones' hands. Will and Elizabeth, who sail though betrayal, felony and wild seas, must forge ahead to Singapore and deal with clever Chinese pirate Sao Feng.

MAY 25th

Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and the gang would have only one reason to pull off their most ambitious and risky casino robberies: defending one of their own. When Willy Bank (Al Pacino), the casino's cruel owner, cheats on one of the original members of Ocean's Eleven, Reuben Tishkoff (Elliott Gould), Danny and his posse get together once again to see if they can make The Bank go under. Also stars Matt Damon, Don Cheadle.

JUNE 8th

Jessica Alba returns for this sequel of the Fantastic Four. The enigmatic and intergalactic herald, Silver Surfer, comes to Earth with evil designs. As he travels the world causing chaos, Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben must uncover the mystery of the Silver Surfer and deal with the return of their enemy, Dr. Doom, before losing all hope. Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis and Ioan Gruffudd also have roles.

JUNE 15th

Twelve years after his last Die Hard movie, Die Hard: With a Vengeance, actor Bruce Willis is at it again in a fourth installment, "Crystal Jungle." Once again, Willis plays the New York City police lieutenant who is always at the wrong place at the wrong time. June 27th

Based on the '80s animated TV series, Transformers makes a jump from the small to the big screen in this massive Steven Spielberg production, which is directed by Michael Bay. The Earth is in the midst of an intergalactic war between robots of two races, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, which can change their appearance and become different objects: cars, airplanes, trucks and other technological variants. Starring Shia Lebouf.

JULY 4th

Based on the books by British author J.K Rowling, Harry Potter returns for a fifth year at Hogwarts, still shook up by the Triwizard Tournament tragedy. Since the Ministry of Magic refuses to let Lord Voldemort return, Harry becomes the focus of attention in the magicians' community. While he struggles with problems at school, including new teacher Dolores Umbridge, he tries to find out more about the mysterious Order of the Phoenix. Stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

July 13th

Based on the animated television series The Simpsons, which has been on the air for 17 years, Springfield's favorite family comes to the big screen. The series is a satire that criticizes all aspects of American society, particularly family matters and relationships among its characters. Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria lend their voices.

JULY 27th

'El Cantante' is the story of Hector Lavoe, one of the most popular salsa singers of the '70s. His addiction to heroine and an AIDS diagnosis drove him to a penniless grave. Lavoe was known for his melodious voice and a knack for improvisation. The cast of El Cantante also will feature special appearances by some of the great talents in Puerto Rican music, like salseros Ismael Miranda, Domingo Quiñones and Victor Manuelle, as well as pop singer Obie Bermúdez.

August 1st

Third and last installment of the adventures of spy Jason Bourne, following The Bourne Identity (2002) and The Bourne Supremacy (2004), based on Robert Ludlum's novels. Jason Bourne returns to action when two journalists investigating the CIA's dissolved Treadstone unit are mysteriously eliminated in an attempt to wipe out what's left of Bourne's past, which he is still trying to recoup. Stars Matt Damon, Chris Cooper, Edgar Ramirez and David Strathairn.

August 3rd

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan hit the big screen once again after a six-year hiatus, alongside Cuban-American director Brett Ratner. In this sequel, LAPD detectives James Carter and Inspector Lee travel to Paris go after an organized crime family known as the Triads. August 10th
