Thalía got married on Dec. 2, 2000 in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, wearing a dress designed by Mitzy and with a really big tail. While Paulina tied the knot in the chapel of San Francisco de Asís de Xcaret, in the Mexican Caribbean, on April 30, 2007, with a very discret dress by spain designer Rosa Clará.
Thalía and Tommy Mottola brought their lips together in a conventional fashion after the “I do’s.” Paulina held husband Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera’s face between her hands and gave him a passionate kiss.
While Thalía had her hair up, crowned with a classical tiara, the Golden Girl opted to wear her blond tresses down, with a simple veil in the back.
OUTSIDE THE CHURCH
Awaiting to congratulate Mrs. Mottola outside the cathedral was her mother, Yolanda Miranda. Paulina and Colate were greeted by members of the press, who were eager to hear the newlyweds’ first pronouncements.
Among the VIPs on the guest list for the wedding of the María trilogy star were: Michael Jackson, Jennifer López, Julio Iglesias and, of course, Robert DeNiro, who danced with Laura Zapata, which led to rumors that he had asked her out. Those who made an appearance for Pau’s big day included Alejandro Sanz, Silvia Pinal and Juan Gabriel, whose singing there was a pleasant surprise for Susana Dosamantes’ daughter.
