JUAN LUIS GUERRA FOUNDATION
Created in 1991 under the name Fundación 440, today, the Dominican singer's foundation funds homes for orphaned kids and rehabilitation centers for young people addicted to drugs and alcohol. Its goals also include giving financial assistance to hospitals and schools, along with covering medical expenses for people of limited resources.
TREASURE KIDS FUND
Created in 2004 by Puerto Rican reggaeton star Don Omar, this charity organization is dedicated to helping children with autism.
Another artist raising awareness about Colombia is Juanes, who created his organization in 2006 to aid victims of anti-personnel mines by getting them physical and psychological help and opening doors to education.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt kicked off the creation of their foundation in 2006 by donating $1 million to Global Action for Children, and another $1 million to Doctors Without Borders. Both actors are known for their humanitarian efforts, and Jolie is a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Ricardo Montaner and his wife, Marlene Rodríguez Miranda, created this organization in 2005 to provide free physical therapy at a center in south Florida for children and young people with autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy. The singer was also recently named a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Parents-to-be Nicole Richie and Joel Madden founded their organization this year in the hopes of helping mothers in need. The pair recently handed out more than $200,000 worth of gifts during a shower for 100 pregnant mothers in Los Angeles.
