At age 41, Ricky Martin is still going strong. He recently released “Come With Me,” the lead single from his forthcoming English-language studio album. He appeared on FOX’s Glee in 2012, and served as coach for The Voice Australia in 2013. Could his interest in yoga and Buddhism be the secret to his everlasting youthfulness?

Mario López turned 40 last October 10th. He and wife Courtney Mazza had plenty to celebrate on the landmark date, as their son Dominic was born in September. The host of syndicated show Extra is an avid proponent of health and fitness, as evidenced by him gracing the cover of Fitness RX for Men magazine this November.

Jaime Camil turned 40 on July 22nd of this year. The son of a successful Mexican businessman of Egyptian descent and a Brazilian painter, his genes favor swarthy good looks. In Mexico, his career has spanned radio, television and cinema; he is making inroads into the U.S. market via the Pantelion Studios production Pulling Strings.

Javier Bardem, who won the Oscar in 2007 for Best Supporting Actor in No Country for Old Men, strikes a dashing image at age 44. Married to Penélope Cruz, the couple welcomed Luna, their second child, last July. A fan of heavy metal music and the group AC/DC, his passionate outlook towards life keeps him in demand for movie roles, like his recent appearance in The Counselor.

Colombian rocker Juanes, 41, started out as a member of the heavy metal band Ekhymosis, leaping into a solo career in 2000. Winner of 20 Latin Grammys and two Grammys, his mother has said on Colombian radio how he was “chubby” as a kid, and used to feel self-conscious. She advised him to eat less and go to the gym, which he did. A hottie by every measure, he recently concluded his successful LOUD & Unplugged Tour.

Miguel Varoni, 48, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but is a citizen of Colombia. In 2000, his career took off in Latin America with the telenovela Pedro el escamoso, where he played the iconic Pedro Coral, a comic lead who simmered with unexpected sexiness. Since then, he has trailblazed the telenovela path, always looking immaculate on the red carpet except for a short period this year, where he was preparing for a role as a shipwreck in Telemundo’s Marido en alquiler (My Dear Handyman).

Julián Gil, 43, is another Argentine who was raised abroad…in his case, Puerto Rico. A fixture on Puerto Rican theater, movies and television during the ’90s, he has gone on to star in telenovelas, like the Venevisión production Los secretos de Lucía (Lucía’s Secrets). Gil is famous for his pinup calendars, which he does every year for a charitable cause.

Chayanne, 45, posted this picture recently with the caption: “Working on my new album for all of you”. This Puerto Rican heartthrob started his career as a member of the boy group Los Chicos, and then went on to star in telenovelas and films, like the watershed Puerto Rican movie Linda Sara (Beautiful Sara) or the perenially-popular Dance With Me, with Vanessa Williams. His famously kind disposition could perhaps be the secret to his serene, confident hotness…

Puerto Rican Carlos Ponce, 41, is currently acting on the Telemundo telenovela Santa diabla, where he plays alongside Colombian girlfriend Ximena Duque. With a career that spans music and television since the early ’90s, he even boasts a cameo role in the cult classic film Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.

Alejandro Fernández, 42, is the son of Mexican ranchero singing legend Vicente Fernández, and a superstar in his own right. His latest album, Confidencias (Confidences), was produced by Phil Ramone. For this record, he wanted to project a renewed image, so he went about it holistically: making changes to his eating habits, exercising and even coloring his hair. He says that vanity does not detract from masculinity, and we have to agree.
