After starring in the film Rouge One: A Star War Story, Diego Luna is reportedly landing another huge role. An announcement was made that the Mexican actor will star in Universal’s upcoming Scarface remake that is set to start filming this year.

Luna will play Tony Montana, an iconic Cuban drug lord, which was famously played by Al Pacino in the 1983 original.

According to Variety, director Antoine Fuqua will no longer be able to direct the film due to scheduling conflicts. Fuqua is set to work with Denzel Washington for a sequel to The Equalizer.

Scarface hit the big screens for the first time in 1932 by director Howar Hawks and in 1983 for the second time under director Brian de Palma.
