Our blast-from-the-past superheroes will be hitting the big screen on March 24th and before it’s morphin’ time, PEOPLE has exclusive photos of the cast that includes Mexican-American singer Becky G, who plays Trini Kwan/the Yellow Ranger.
The film, based off the 1990s iconic television show, will follow five high school teens that gain superpowers and come together to save the world from extraterrestrial danger.
“Every day I learned a lot about acting, acrobatics, and my character,” Becky G explained to People en Español about the filming. “The process is very interesting. It’s a great movie and I know everyone is going to enjoy it.”

Other cast members include Me and Earl and the Dying Girl‘s RJ Cyler as Billy/the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly/the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin as Zack/the Black Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as Jason the Red Ranger and Elizabeth Banks as villain Rita Repulsa.
Becky G expressed her excitement to be a part of the cast as the Yellow Ranger. “My character is very cool, different, there are some similarities but there are several differences [with me]. I’m very excited [because] the Yellow Power Ranger [is my favorite], because my favorite color is yellow, [but] everything happened [by coincidence], super natural,” she said.
