How Chiquis and Lorenzo Are Moving On After Their Painful Split
Chiquis Rivera and Lorenzo Mendez seemed made for each other. The Mexican American singers had a soulful connection and a fairy-tale wedding in 2019. However, they announced their divorce at the end of 2020 after life in quarantine negatively impacted their union.
In a recent interview with La Bronca on the radio show El Free-guey, Chiquis opened up about their breakup. "Right now I feel really good, but I had very difficult days that I don't wish upon anybody," she says. Here's a look at how they are each moving on with their lives.
Loving the Stage
Lorenzo Mendez went back to the recording studio and has enjoyed being back on stage and getting love and support from his fans. He recently shared photos of his concert in Colorado.
The regional Mexican singer recently shared a photo of himself standing next to a mural with the message, "In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity."
He recently celebrated his daughter's 11th birthday with a sweet father-daughter dinner. "You will always be my baby Victoria Nicole Mendez and I will — till my dying breath — do the impossible for you," he wrote.
Born to Perform
The singer is enjoying a concert tour around U.S. states like Texas, Kansas, and Colorado.
Positive Vibes Only
He is also connecting with nature and his spirituality. Here are some fun postcards from a recent visit to Lake Michigan.
Chiquis has also focused on career and family during this time of transition in her love life. The Mexican American singer has been shining on the small screen as a judge on Estrella TV's Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento.
The young entrepreneur has also been unstoppable with business projects. On March 31, after two years of working on this venture, her skincare line Be Flawless Skin will hit the market.
Chiquis has shared videos of herself exercising and boxing, taking care of her health and burning calories.
Rivera Power Rangers
Her family has been her rock. "Missing our 5th Power Ranger @jacqierivera tho! I love you guys with my entire being," she captioned this photo with her siblings.
She also has her friends to lean on. Chiquis was recently a bridesmaid at bestie Helen Ochoa's wedding. The Mexican American star, 35, told People en Español that she is "open to love" after healing her heart.
