Selena Gomez may have the most followers on Instagram, but the real queen of the popular social networking platform seems to be Beyoncé.

According to a report by the agency D'Marie Analytics, specializing in the study of social networks, the future mother of twins is the most valuable artist on the Internet since only one of her posts is equivalent to $1 million in ads. And that's with Beyoncé ranking at number 22 on the list of accounts with the most followers on Instagram.

So what is the secret to making your post so popular and effective?

“Her limited release of exclusive, curated content…causes such frenzy from her audience,” the agency's chief of staff, Frank Spadafora, told Moneyish. “These days, less really is more.”

Pepsi reportedly paid Beyoncé a whopping $50 million in 2012 for an Instagram endorsement of an Andy Warhol inspired photograph featuring the singer and the soda can.

This only confirms that the Formation singer, and her husband, rapper and entrepreneur Jay Z, truly have the golden touch of King Midas. Between her fashion companies and his various investments they amass a combined fortune that Forbes estimates at $875 million.

But Selena fans will not be disappointed: according to the study, the 23-year-old singer is second in value with her posts. Not too bad.
