The ‘Wonder Woman’ trailer is all about girl power
The first trailer for Wonder Woman was released at the San Diego Comic Con this past weekend.
Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, made her first appearance as the super hero in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which was released earlier this year.
The movie introduces everyone to Princess Diana of Themyscira, who fights for peace during the World War I era, alongside Steve Trevor played by actor Chris Pine.
Diana Prince gives us independent woman vibes in the trailer— when Steve Trevor tells her, “I can't let you do this,” she replies: “What I do is not up to you.”
Gadot hopes to be a role model to girls with her character. “I feel that I've got the opportunity to set a great role model for girls to look up to a strong, active, compassionate, loving, positive woman and I think it's so important. It's about time that somebody will do that and I'm very privileged and honored to be the one,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
Wonder Woman is scheduled to hit theaters in June 2017.
