Actress Talina Fernández hasn’t just mastered the art of drama. She could take on action movies too! A few days ago, Fernández experienced a real-life chase. She went after a thief who stole her watch while her driver was stopped at a traffic light in Mexico City.

“It was around 2:15 p.m., I was on my way to a dinner at my house. We were waiting for a while at a traffic light when a guy stuck his head in the car and asked me for my watch and I gave it to him,” the 66-year-old actress and TV hostess told Televisa Espectáculos. However, she became so irate over the incident, she decided to chase after the thief.

“The guy started running. I told the driver to go around and we found him. To the right, on the way to Reforma, there was a police car. I told them I had been robbed and they immediately followed him and caught him,” the actress –who had brain surgery in 2006 to extract a tumor– vividly narrated.

Fernández said the incident did not bring back the bitter memories of what happened to her daughter Mariana Levy, who died in 2005 of a heart attack after being assaulted in Mexico City. The actress said she was glad to get her watch back and told the nervous thief: “Son, how could you think you can rob me?.”
