Rumors that the singer and her boyfriend are tying the knot are false, her rep says

Shakira fans have been spreading the word that the Colombian singer and her longtime boyfriend, Antonio de la Rúa, could be getting married in January, but after chatting with a representative from her PR agency, People en Espanol.com confirmed that “they're just rumors that are flying around.”
The gossip started last weekend when the world discovered that the artist, 30, was spending time with her boyfriend's family in Uruguay. According to the newspaper El País, “Some sources assure that Shakira's presence has to do with starting the necessary process for getting legally married in Uruguay.”
But according to the singer's reps, Shakira won't be walking down the aisle anytime soon.
