Shooting victim’s death captured on Facebook Live
A man in Chicago was live on Facebook Wednesday night when he was shot dead during the broadcast.
The 28-year-old victim was filming himself standing on a sidewalk when six minutes into the video you begin to hear gunshots and screaming in the background.
Antonio Perkins died from gunshot wounds to the neck that evening, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Detectives have confirmed that the video was connected to the shooting.
Facebook has not taken down the video and they have stated that is does not violate the company's community standards. The post was marked with a warning of containing graphic content.
This is Facebook's second similar incident when earlier in the week, an ISIS supporter killed a police commander and his partner in France on Facebook Live threatening violence at the Euro 2016 soccer championship. That video was removed.
