They say everything Shakira touches turns to gold. Her MTV Unplugged concert was the cable station’s first internationally transmitted acoustic concert in Spanish. So maybe that’s why MTV has offered the Colombian singer to document the making of her new album on a reality TV show.

The show would be shot in Shakira’s home, which houses her recording studio, in Punta del Este, Uruguay . Recently the “La Tortura” singer revealed that it was one of her favorite places in the world. “I love being in this place to write my songs and to prepare for new projects… direct contact with nature is what inspires me, and I need to be around that to work.”

MTV is currently in talks with Shakira, and hopes the singer will be up for exposing some her most intimate songwriting and recording secrets, reports the site
