Robert Rodríguez Gets Engaged

A source close to Rose McGowan informed People.com that the actress got engaged to Texan director of Mexican descent Robert Rodríguez.

Rumors of the supposed engagement started circulating last month when the two were seen together at various Hollywood events. The New York Post then reported that the 34-year-old actress was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger.

The Charmed costar met Rodríguez, 39, in 2006 when he directed her in the Planet Terror portion of the movie Grindhouse.

“He's my best friend. We instantly became really good friends,” McGowan told PEOPLE in June.

The director has five kids with his ex-wife, producer Elizabeth Avellan. McGowan was previously engaged to rocker Marilyn Manson.
