The Puerto Rican star will perform with the Blue Man Group to open the ceremony
The 8th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards is coming to Las Vegas on Nov. 8, and Ricky Martin will be part of the opening act that gets the crowd moving. According to a press release from the event’s organizers, the Puerto Rican superstar will hit the stage with the Blue Man Group as the first performance of the night.
Martin, 35, has four nominations: Album Of The Year, Best Male Pop Vocal Album and Best Long Form Music Video for MTV Unplugged, and Record Of The Year for “Tu Recuerdo.”
The star-studded event will also boast live performances from Andrea Bocelli, and nominees Ivy Queen, Jesse & Joy and Shaila Dúrcal. Presenting awards at the ceremony will be Rubén Blades, Kate del Castillo, Bárbara Mori and Nora Salinas, among others.
The show will feature 49 award categories. It airs live from Las Vegas next Thursday, Nov. 8 on Univisión.
