Out of 60 contestants from various countries of the world, 24-year-old Mexican Priscila Perales, from Monterrey, was named Miss International in Tokyo, Japan, on Oct. 15.
Perales, who until recently hosted the nightly news for Televisa Monterrey, was crowned Miss Mexico at a contest in 2005 and was one of ten finalists at Miss Universe 2006. “I'm super excited, I'm proud of Priscila and the work that she put into this competition, and it's the third most important contest at the worldwide level, and I can say that I'm happy,” expressed Miss Universe 1991, Mexican Lupita Jones.
The Miss International contest, which began in 1960, is one of the most important beauty pageants after Miss Universe.
