When President Barack Obama traveled to Austin earlier this year to participate in South by Southwest (SXSW), he might have left more inspired than most.
The President will host the first-ever music festival to be held on the South Lawn of the White House on Oct 3rd in collaboration with SXSW. THE D.C.-based festival, titled South by South Lawn (SXSL), will “bring together creators, innovators, and organizers who work day in and day out to improve the lives of their fellow Americans and people around the world,” announced The White House last week.
The one-day event will include panel discussions, a film portion and musical performances. No lineup has been released. Those who would like to attend can nominate himself or herself or someone they know by September 10th on whitehouse.gov.
