Salma will produce and star in a romantic comedy for Walt Disney Pictures

Although Salma Hayek, 40, has yet to give birth, she's already landed a job, assuring her post-baby acting career.

The Hollywood Reporter, points out that the Veracruz, Mexico-born actress will star in a Walt Disney romantic comedy. The plot revolves around a conservative doctor who gets the surprise of his life when he discovers that the ex boyfriend of his fiancee, played by Hayek, is a Latin superstar who has come to Los Angeles to win her back.

Hayek, who will soon give birth to her first child, came to an agreement with Disney wherein her company, Ventanarosa, will produce the film. Her Ventanarosa partner José Tamez also will work behind the cameras as a producer.

The movie's script was written by Ed Decter and John Strauss; the pair also worked on The Santa Clause 2, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause and the animated film The Wild.

This isn't the first project that the Mexican actress has developed with Disney. The producer of Ugly Betty (ABC) provided the voice FOR one of the characters in the animated movie South Of The Border, scheduled to be released in August 2008.
