Penélope Cruz Loses Camera, Contained Intimate Images
The actress misplaced her digital camera on vacation, her lawyers filed a police report
On her vacation getaway, Penélope Cruz misplaced a digital camera that contained personal photos of her family and friends, and most likely had pictures of her supposed boyfriend Javier Bardem on it as well. Entertainment site E! online informed that her lawyers want to make sure the paparazzi don't try to release the images, which is why they filed a police report.
The 33-year-old actress either lost the camera, or it was stolen from her. The device contained “a variety of private images.” By filing the police report, her lawyers have ensured that the images are considered lost or stolen property. If tabloids somehow got their hands on the photos and tried to publish them, the action would be a copyright infringement and an invasion of Cruz's privacy.
Strangely enough, the actress's friend Salma Hayek misplaced her laptop while traveling recently. The new mom also reported the incident to the police in the hopes of getting her hard drive back, which contains photos of her 4-month-old daughter Valentina Paloma.
