After finishing up her scenes for director James Cameron's latest flick Avatar in New Zealand, Michelle Rodríguez reported to prison in Lynwood, Calif. on Sunday to begin a 180-day jail term for violating probation in a DUI case, reports.

L.A. Superior Court Judge Daviann L. Mitchell ordered the 29-year-old actress to serve a full sentence after she “admitted violating her probation by failing to provide proof of completion of her community service and for consuming alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol-monitoring device,” the L.A. City Attorney's office said. The actress of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent was not given the option of doing community service in lieu of spending time behind bars.

The former Lost star has been in trouble with the law since 2003. In June 2004, she was placed on three years probation after being accused of drunk driving and driving with a suspended license from two separate incidents in Hollywood in 2003. And in May 2006, she served four hours and 20 minutes of a two-month sentence for probation violation after a DUI arrest in Hawaii in December 2005.
