Malia Obama has officially decided what college she will attend

After months of speculation, The White House announced that oldest daughter of the President, Malia Obama will attend Harvard University.

There is a twist— the high school senior will take a gap year and begin her freshman year in the fall of 2017.

Many believed that she would attend NYU with her interest in film studies and her past internship in New York City on the set of HBO's “Girls.”

Both her parents, Michelle and Barack Obama attended Harvard Law School.

The question now is— what will Malia be doing during her gap year? Will it be for travel or any special projects? We'll just have to wait and see.
