We're not sure who's lying, but what we do know is that while Lupita D'Alessio claims she'll be starring in the musical Mamma Mía! in Mexico, which premieres next year, the producer, Morris Gilbert, says it's not true.

“I'm doing a musical comedy called Mamma Mía!, and I'll be playing the role of Donna, practically the lead. My son Ernesto convinced me to take the role, and I'm also familiar with ABBA's music,” said the 54-year-old actress on the TV show Muévete (Televisa).

The producer of the musical, based on the libretto by Catherine Johnson, who also denied that Bianca Marroquín would be part of the cast, said that her age doesn't fit with any of the characters.

The last time the performer of “¿Quién te crees tú?” and “Mudanzas” appeared on stage was 32 years ago, when she acted in the play La novicia rebelde, directed by Luis Gimeno.
