After breaking sales records last year with his album El cartel: The big boss, for which he won various Platinum records, Daddy Yankee is back with a new groundbreaking album. The reggaeton star will give us an exclusive preview tonight when he performs his new first single, Pose, tonight at People en Espanol's 50 Most Beautiful party in New York City.

The music from Yankee's new album Talento de barrio: El soundtrack from his label El Cartel Records, will be featured in this buzz-worthy film, where the reggaeton star makes his acting debut.

“The album and the movie go hand in hand. Its concept is urban music from the streets, but we took the street flavor [to a higher level]. We come with fresh new ideas and songs,” the 31-year-old singer said.

El Cangri's latest CD features a mix of rhythms and musical genres including dance tunes and romantic tracks. It will be the soundtrack of his movie Talento de Barrio, which hits theaters at the end of the year and shows the struggle of Puerto Rican youth to succeed under adverse circumstances.

The album hits stores July 15.
