This year's Latin Grammy Awards promises to be jam-packed with stars and stellar music. The Nov. 8 event in Las Vegas will include performances from this year's Person of the Year, Dominican artist Juan Luis Guerra, Italian singer Laura Pausini, and Mexican artists Pepe Aguilar, Camila and Conjunto Primavera, among others.

Presenting awards at the ceremony will be celebs like Cuban singer Gloria Estefan, actor of Peruvian descent Benjamin Bratt, Colombian model and actress Sofía Vergara, and the Mexican band Los Tigres del Norte.

At the 8th annual show, 49 awards will be given out to honor the standout musical efforts of the year. Added to the list this year will be the new award categories Best Urban Song and Best Alternative Song.

Juan Luis Guerra heads the nominations list with five mentions, followed by Calle 13 and Ricky Martin, both with four. Singers Miguel Bosé, Franco De Vita, Kevin Johansen, the group Orishas and producers Carlos Jean and Zoé each nabbed three nominations.

According to the Latin Recording Academy (LARAS), the star-studded event will air live at 8:00 p.m. on Univisión. At 7:00 p.m., the same channel will present Noche de Estrellas, a green carpet special hosted by Puerto Rican presenters Bárbara Bermudo and Giselle Blondet.
