At Last: Salma Hayek Has a Baby Girl!

Without giving up too many details, except that “the motherand baby are doing well,” Cari Ross, Salma Hayek's PRrepresentative, confirmed that the 41-year-old actress gave birth to adaughter who will be named Valentina Paloma Pinault.

Hayek and her fiancé, Francois-Henri Pinault, 45,were seen entering Los Angeles's Cedars-Sinai hospital on Thursday,although it's still not known exactly when the baby was born.

Rumors started spreading Friday morning that the little girlhad already been born, but the publicist of the Frida startold Peopleenespanol.com that this wasn't true. Meanwhile, her father,Sami Hayek, denied the gossip to Mexican daily ElUniversal.

Early Saturday morning, an official press release to themedia confirmed the arrival of the little girl, indicating that shecould have been born Friday afternoon.

Hayek gave word of her pregnancy and engagement to Pinaultlast March.
