There have been numerous rumors about the alleged romance between Jorge Salinas and Elizabeth Álvarez, which both stars have denied. However, now the Mexican actor has admitted that, although they're only friends, he's interested in having a romantic relationship with his costar from the telenovela Fuego en la sangre (Univisión).

“Her and I have a friendship. I love her a lot. She's a woman who fulfills all of your expectations, but she doesn't pay attention to me yet,” said the 40-year-old actor on the radio show Reporte última palabra (Reporte 98.5 FM).

Salinas offered up these declarations during the Premios Califa in Mexico City, when he kissed her hand and said: “By God, I'm going to conquer her.”

However Álvarez has said that “love is something that you give and receive, you can't force it, or push it on someone.”

Salinas, who is still not legally divorced from Fátima Boggio, implied that once he finished working on Fuego… he planned on taking action to get custody of his kids, because he revealed that sometimes Boggio doesn't let him see them. He also said he doesn't feel comfortable having his kids around a woman who wanted to commit suicide, as Boggio revealed that she tried to do in an interview.
