Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez is recording a new Spanish-language CD that will be produced by none other than her ex-husband, singer Marc Anthony. “It’s something that I’ve been wanting to do for a while, and I really just decided I’m going to this now,” the Bronx native tells People en Español exclusively, one of many revelations she makes in the new issue of the magazine that features her on the cover to celebrate its 20th anniversary. “My life the past few years has been so busy, so busy that just to sit down and dig into the music and write [has been a project]. I’ve done a song here and there that has inspired me.”

Just as inspiring for her has been working side-by-side with Marc Anthony once again. “It’s very exciting. We worked on my last Spanish album together [Como ama una mujer]”, says Lopez, who joined her ex in August to sing their song “No me ames” during one of his Radio City Music Hall concerts. “I can’t imagine doing it without him because the only kind of foray I’ve had into this world has always been with him. It’s going to be exciting.”

Is this new collaboration a testament to the good relationship between Max and Emme’s parents? “Yeah, I don’t even want to say how many years we’ve been friends,” laughs Lopez, 47, Who this summer posed for pictures with Marc Anthony along with his current wife, model Shannon de Lima, and her now ex, Casper Smart, after her All I Have show in Las Vegas.
