Jencarlos Canela will soon pack his bags and head over to San Antonio, Texas… The actor and singer is one of the luminaries who will participate in the 2013 edition of Festival People en Español, to be held in San Antonio from August 31 to September 1.

“I feel very happy for the opportunity to be able to share with the public in San Antonio. Besides, it is an honor for me to work on this presentation under the direction of the great Emilio Estefan,” Jencarlos said in an exclusive interview with People en Español.

Jencarlos will make two appearances at our Festival. In the evening, he will grace the Alamodome stage to sing selections from his new album.

“I am very excited about performing at Festival People en Español, because that’s where I’ll preview many of the songs to be included in my next album; I’m thrilled to know that people will be able to hear my new sound live for the first time,” Jencarlos said.

During the day, the telenovela Pasión prohibida (Telemundo) leading man will share with his fans at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, where a program of free events will be presented for the entire family.

Regarding his next album, Canela recently told us: “There are some featured guests in this album that I cannot yet reveal, but when you find out who the collaborators are, your jaw will drop.”
