Helio Castroneves Wins Dancing with the Stars

Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough are the winners of the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars (ABC).

But with the good news comes a loss. The Brazilian racecar driver told PEOPLE that he and his fiancé have ended their relationship. “I can confirm that Aliette Vázquez and I have called off our engagement and are no longer together,” Castroneves, 32, said. “At this time I would prefer to keep my private life private.”

The Dancing champ went public with the breakup news only hours after his Tuesday victory on the show. Castroneves had postponed his wedding with Vázquez months ago, explaining to Entertainment Tonight (CBS) that he didn't want to move too fast with his fiancé.

The famous driver isn't the only one who's put the brakes on matrimony. Hough, his 19-year-old dance partner, delayed her trip to alter last May so she could dedicate herself to the intense competition.
