Growing Up Latina: The No's

Growing up Latino is definitely growing up differently. You aren't allowed to do all the things that non-Latino kids can do, especially being a girl. Boys had it easier with the rules but still had many things they couldn't do. Remember when you would see your friends of other races talk back to their parents? Or when they would plan sleepovers? You would have to sit back and accept that your household is different from others. Although it wasn't always fun to deal with, Latino parents do it all out of good ol' traditions and love.
