Nely Galán is the ultimate multi hyphenate. An immigrant and self-made media and real-estate mogul, she was the first Latina President of Entertainment for a U.S. television network, Telemundo. She is also an Emmy Award-winning producer of over 700 episodes of television in Spanish and English, including the hit FOX reality series The Swan. Dubbed the “Tropical Tycoon,” Galán is the founder of the nonprofit Adelante Movement—a national motivational tour and digital platform to empower Latinas socially, economically and politically. Her latest book, Self Made: Becoming Empowered, Self-Reliant, and Rich in Every Way is a New York Times bestseller that aims to empower women to take financial control of their own lives.

Galán now runs her own media company, Galán Entertainment, and was most recently included in People en Español's 25 Mujeres Más Poderosas list. She will also be speaking at the Poderosas Live! event on September 17th in Miami.

We're giving you a chance to win a signed copy of Nely Galán's book Self Made. Check out the Chica Facebook page on Wednesday, September 7th for details.
