George Clooney, actor and director, age 45, tops the PEOPLE magazine's list of the sexiest men of 2006 This is the second time that the lead actor of Syriana receives that award (the first was in 1997), in which he tied with the blond, Brad Pitt. “Brad is going to be upset,” the heartthrob told the publication in a humorous tone.

After Clooney are the heartthrobs like Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy (ABC)), Ashton Kutcher (Guess Who?), Taye Diggs (Day Break (ABC)) and Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean). Among the Hottest Guys are the Cuban-American Enrique Murciano, star of the show Without a Trace (CBS) and twice one of the 50 Most Beautiful People of PEOPLE EN ESPAÑOL's, the Brazilian Rodrigo Santoro (Lost (ABC)) and the singer Ryan Cabrera.

The Mexican Alejandro Fernández, who occupies the position on the international list of the Hottest Men, deserves a separate mention. The Colt was chosen by the magazine as being “a romantic” with “a love life worthy of a soap opera.” While Jay Hernández (Six Degrees (ABC)) and the Chilean Santiago Cabrera (Heroes (NBC) carry the honor of being among the most attractive newcomers.
