Four baby showers for Thalía
Thalía was radiant when she arrived at the auction for the deceased Mexican actress María Felix's estate held at Christie's on July 16 in New York. A black dress and high heels showed off her seven-month pregnancy, and the Mexican singer and actress chatted about motherhood and how she plans to welcome her baby in September.
"I'm very happy and relaxed. I eat a wholesome diet, with a lot of protein and fruits. It's the greatest thing that's happened to me in my whole life," said the 35-year-old singer. She added that she has already picked out her baby's name but did not disclose it to reporters who flocked to her during the auction.
According to the singer and entrepeneur, her husband `BOLD {Tommy Mottola}] escorts her practically everywhere and begs her to ditch the high heels. "He seems to act more pregnant than I do!" said Thalia, who also hosts her own weekly show on ABC radio, Conexión Thalía.
The singer seems eager to become a mom and plans to have four baby showers: one in New York with American guests, another with her Latino buddies, a third with her gay friends, and an interactive one with her fans on her website.
Clearly in a nesting mood, the expectant singer bought herself a small gift at the auction: a $66 K painting that once belonged to diva María Félix.
