Mexican actress Florinda Meza seemed ticked off when reporters asked her about her habit of interrupting her husband, Mexican actor and producer Roberto Gómez Bolaños {Chespirito}, when he speaks during interviews.

According to La oreja (Televisa), the 71-year-old actress got defensive while at a ceremony for the play 11 y 12 when some members of the press asked her husband about the lawsuit brought on him by Felipe Martínez.

The actress chimed in and said: “I don’t know anything about that, and he doesn’t know anything about that, but did you guys know that Roberto gave a conference at Stanford? Did you know he got his doctorate from a university in El Salvador? No, right?…And you’re asking him about tabloid news,” jeered the actor’s wife.

According to the same show, a source close to the couple says that Meza wants to protect her husband, since Chespirito, now 79, gets distracted and speaks nonsense.

Next month, the couple will celebrate their first wedding anniversary, because even after 29 years together, according to the actress the two are still on they’re honeymoon.
