Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007. It was an autumn day like no other in New York: 85 degrees and sunny, tee shirts and spaghetti-strap tanks…the perfect atmosphere for PEOPLE EN ESPAÑOL's FIESTA 2007 in Central Park.

The second-annual party event was a chance for the whole family to come out and enjoy – for free – live concerts from stars like Kat DeLuna, Miguelito, Ivy Queen and Fanny Lú, among many others. Their high-energy performances rocked Central Park from noon to 10 p.m., Eastern Time.

The party kicked off with face-painting for the kids and the reggaeton beats of young Puerto Rican star Miguelito.

Fans then took turns meeting journalist and TV host María Celeste Arrarás, who signed autographs and posed for pics with her followers. Puerto Rican singer and winner of Objetivo fama (Univisión) Juan Vélez hit the stage greeted by screaming fans. And Puerto Rican songstress Myredis got her career off on the right foot with her FIESTA 2007 performance.

Dominican comedian and actor Ruperto Vanderpool, who hosted the event, kept the crowd laughing all through the afternoon.

The crowd went wild when Kat DeLuna hit the stage, singing songs like “Whine Up” and “Am I Dreaming?” Then the party got romantic as the sun set and Colombian singer Fanny Lú crooned hits like “No te pido flores” while the audience sang along.

It was mayhem when Puerto Rican reggaeton super-force Ivy Queen performed, electrifying the crowd with “Que lloren” and “Pobre diabla,” among many others. After the live performances, DJ Tony Torch capped off the night with a thumping dance party for audience members who weren't ready to leave.

Hope to see you at FIESTA 2008…
