The Festival People en Español 2013, to take place on August 31 and September 1 in San Antonio, Texas, will be produced by Emilio Estefan.
“People are going to enjoy an incredible spectacle. It will be something special,” Estefan said in a TV interview in San Antonio this week, where he visited the Alamodome facilities, venue for the Festival concerts. “Last year’s first edition was a complete success and we’re always looking forward to making things better. We will have one of the greatest celebrations for Hispanics and non-Hispanics alike.”
During the evenings of Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, concerts featuring great performers will take place. Tickets for these shows will be available soon through Ticketmaster. “We have many surprises in store,” Estefan added.
The first edition of the Festival brought together on one stage performers like Olga Tañón, Prince Royce, Tito “El Bambino”, Larry Hernández and 3BallMTV, among others. The grand finale was in charge of Luis Miguel.
There will also be free of charge daytime activities at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, with a program designed for the whole family. There will be discussion panels, interviews, talks on wellness and presentations featuring Latin stars of the moment.
