Disney launches YouTube series hosted by influencers
With beauty and fashion vloggers taking the YouTube world by storm, Disney has decided to join the party with a team of influencers. The company launched a new travelogue fashion series featuring their clothing lines and merchandise in different parts of the world.
The series, “Destination: Disney Style,” is a five part series hosted by YouTube stars LaurDIY (3.9 million subscribers), Meredith Foster (4.5 million), Jalessa Moses (926,000), and Lucy & Lydia (259,000).
“From the catwalk in Shanghai to the sidewalk in New York, this new series sees YouTube's biggest fashion stars explore what Disney style means around the globe,” said Josh Silverman, executive VP of global licensing at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media.
LaurDIY hosted the first episode and explored Disney street style in Tokyo, Disney Expo Japan 2016, and the Tokyo Disney Resort. “Filming this series was an absolute blast,” said Lauren Riihimaki aka LaurDIY. “It was my first time in Tokyo and it was so cool to experience all the Disney style around the city – especially around Harajuku!”
A new video is set to air every Tuesday throughout the month of August with the inflencers highlighting different international cities including Shanghai, New York, and London. Be sure to tune in and show your Disney Style using #DisneyStyle.
