Diego Luna Will Host MTV Latin America Awards

Actor Diego Luna will host the 6th annual MTV Video Music Awards Latin America on Oct. 18, 2007, in the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City.

This won't be the first MTV hosting experience for the 27-year-old Mexican and acclaimed actor, who emceed the event in 2002 as well.

The Mexicans Julieta Venegas and the group RBD, along with Argentinean actresses Luisana Lopilato and Dalma Maradona will be presenters at the awards show.

Performing live at the Mexico event will be Colombian singer Juanes, Canadian singer Avril Lavigne, English band The Cure and Mexican rocker Belinda, who tops the nominations list with five.
