What’s Daddy Yankee’s biggest passion after music? Basketball, and he’s decided to put some money into his love for shooting hoops. The reggaeton star will be co-owner of Caguas Creoles, a professional basketball team in Puerto Rico.

“Since I support the talent here, I feel like I have to support the sport. These guys, these great athletes, give 100% on the court. It makes us happy to see them win, and we hate to see them lose,” the 30-year-old musician said during a press conference in his native Puerto Rico.

Despite a busy schedule, the reggaetonero plans on spending a lot of time courtside: “I hope I can attend a lot of the games next season. There’s nothing like being there and watching your team win,” he added.
