The singer welcomed her first child to the world: a son named Max Liron Bratman

On Saturday at 10:05 p.m., Pacific Time, Christina Aguilera, 27, gave birth to little Max Liron Bratman at a hospital in Los Angeles, reports.

“Christina and Jordan [Bratman] are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman. He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy!” the couple's rep said. “Mom is resting and doing well!”

The baby weighed in at 6 lbs. 2 oz., measuring 20.5 inches long.

the day after Max's arrival, the singer posted a message on her website, which reads: “Today is a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I as we welcome our first son into this world.” Aguilera also thanked her fans for their “undying love and support.”

The new mom and the music executive married in November 2005, last November, the “Candyman” artist confirmed her pregnancy eight weeks after her friend Paris Hilton broke the news in Las Vegas.
