In a marathon celebration, the journalists' wedding party starts Friday and ends Sunday in Puerto Rico

Carmen Dominicci and Fernando del Rincón are getting married over the weekend in Puerto Rico.The party will last three days!

The wedding plans were finalized last Monday when journalist Dominicci, 41, arrived in Puerto Rico, where she was born. Her husband to be, Mexican journalist del Rincón arrived Wednesday. The celebration kicks off today (Friday) with a dinner party, they’ll serve Puerto Rican and Mexican delicacies, as reported by the daily Primera Hora. On Saturday, the groom’s 38th birthday, they’ll have a civil ceremony on the beach. The guest must wear swimsuits. That night they’ll have a religious ceremony. The marathon ends with a luncheon on Sunday.

The bride will go down the aisle with her son Giuliano,17 from her previous marriage to actor Osvaldo Ríos. She assured that a good time will be had by all. “Everyone will learn that Puerto Ricans really know how to party,” she told the daily Primera hora; she added that this marriage is for keeps.

Nearly 250 people were invited. The guest list include Univisión’s Tony Dandrade, Carlos Calderón, Lourdes Stephen and Giselle Blondet, the latter wished them the best saying “I hope they’re very happy after all the ordeal they went through… all of us, colleagues, support them completely… saying, yes you can,” said the hostess of Nuestra belleza latina (Univisión) to the Puerto Rican media.

The local press reports that the décor will emphasize white, but also the brilliant, intense hues of the tropics. The bride will wear four dresses, including a white gown for the main celebration. Music will of course consist of Mexican and Caribbean sounds.
