Carla Estrada Denies Getting Sued by Disney
The producer assures us that Pasión's music is original and not taken from Pirates of the Caribbean
A few weeks ago, it was rumored by a few Mexican news sources that Carla Estrada was facing a million-dollar lawsuit from Disney for stealing music from the film Pirates of the Caribbean for her telenovela Pasión (Univisión).
But in an exclusive interview with our website, the producer said Disney never accused her of pirating songs. “There's no lawsuit,” she insisted. “Everything is in order, and it's a misunderstanding. I don't know anything about that; on the telenovela we work with more than 150 original songs.”
Paying no mind to the rumors surrounding her show, Estrada has decided to offer a deeper look at the soap's characters with a book about the show that comes out Jan. 29. “Editorial Televisa spent a ton of money on this book; it contains more than 600 unpublished, behind-the-scenes photos,” the producer gushed. “There you'll find some beautiful things, hard situations, and all the details of the telenovela's recording.”
