Britney's Mom: Sam Lutfi Drugged My Daughter
Lynne Spears has accused the pop star's friend of medicating and verbally abusing her daughter
Even though Britney Spears is in the hospital getting psychiatric treatment, she's still tangled up in a web of controversy. The singer's mom Lynne has requested and been granted a restraining order against her daughter's friend Sam Lutfi, claiming that he drugged and verbally abused the troubled singer, People.com reports.
In the request, Lynne gave a detailed account of the Jan. 28 scene when she arrived at her daughter's home for an intervention: "Britney…became very agitated and could not stop moving," she says. "She cleaned the house. She changed her clothes many times. She also changed her three dogs' clothes many times. Britney spoke to me in a tone and with the level of understanding of a very young girl." She also explained how Lutfi was drugging her daughter. "He told us that he puts [the pills] in her food and that was the reason she had been quiet for the last three days. She had been sleeping. He told us that the doctor who is treating her now is trying to get her into a sleep-induced coma so that they could give her drugs to heal her brain."
Lynne also alleged that Lutfi verbally abused her daugher: "Sam had told Britney that she was an unfit mother, a piece of trash and a whore, that she cares more about [paparazzo] Adnan [Ghalib], her current boyfriend, than she cares about her kids, and that she does not deserve the kids."
Amidst all this controversy, the "Gimme More" singer is being hospitalized against her will. According to her father Jamie, Britney wants to go home: "Come on, daddy, let's get out of here. Take my hand and let's walk out of here together." In response, he told his daughter, "I wish I could, but I can't."
