Britney Spears was booked Monday night at a Los Angeles police station for two misdemeanor charges stemming from an Aug. 6 hit-and-run incident, and for driving without a valid license.

According to LAPD officer Mike López, the 25-year-old singer arrived at Van Nuys Jail around 9:25 p.m. Spears, who was smiling, was accompanied by her friend Sam Lufti and her lawyer J. Michael Flanagan.

The pop star spent about an hour getting fingerprinted and photographed. Officer López said the “Gimme More” singer was “cooperative” and wasn't handcuffed or detained.

Spears will have to appear in court for her arraignment on Oct. 25. She'll be charged with hit-and-run causing property damage and driving without a valid California license. If found guilty, she could spent up to a year in jail.
