Britney Gives Her Ex $15,000 a Month
More court documents from the custody battle between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were made public yesterday, giving the world a detailed perspective on the former couple's finances.
According to People.com, the 25-year-old singer gives her ex-husband $15,000 a month in child support to take care of their sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. If Federline is granted more time with his children as a result of the custody battle, the figure could change. Since he makes less money than the pop songstress, he's eligible to receive the payments until the two boys are adults.
Federline, 29, who earns money from entertainment and endorsement deals, made more than half a million dollars in 2006, but after paying off expenses grossed only $7,436. Spears, on the other hand, makes approximately $737,000 per month.
The documents also break down the singer and her ex's average monthly expenses in 2006.
Britney's Expenses:
• $102,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacation
• $49,267 on mortgage payments
