Being Over 40 doesn't faze Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek spoke with People.com after receiving a Lucy award and said she was going through the best time in her life; no mention of her rumored wedding
Although some might think it's hard being over 40 in a youth-crazed Hollywood, age doesn't seem to faze Salma Hayek, 41, one bit. She seems happier than ever.
“I'm 41 now, and I have to say, it is the best time in my life,” assured the beautiful Mexican actress after receiving an award from Women in Film: Crystal and Lucy Awards, held on Tuesday night in Los Angeles, CA.
Salma isn't the only one who thinks she's doing well. Other stars couldn't deny her glowing presence. It prompted actress Jada Pinkett Smith–who was also being recognized, along with her costars from the upcoming chick flick, The Women–to shout out, “You look good!” while actress Eva Mendes blurted out “I love you, Salma!”
“I have learned to enjoy time to be a woman. I have learned to enjoy how to do the most that I can with what I have,” the Ugly Betty producer explained. “It is a good thing to be a 41-year-old Latina woman in America,” explained the Ugly Betty producer.
And when it comes to balancing motherhood and her busy career, Hayek has already learned the most important lesson. “I delegate a lot more,” she said at the L.A. event. “I'm very lucky because I have great people around me.”
The only thing Hayek didn't touch upon was the rumored wedding to Pinault set for this August, although some sources confirm that she has denied the rumors.
